Really? No Catch?

Nope. No catch. You need a site, you provide content to us, and we build it and take care of changes you need. As long as you pay your subscription fees, your site is online. We look after all the maintenance and updates for you.

What if I need more than 5 pages or something else not included in the packages?

We do offer custom design, but for one or two small additions to your package, we'll provide a quote on any custom work you require.

Will I be the first result in "the Google"?

We can't guarantee anything, but we do basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) on your site and submit details to the major search engines. We'll also provide our handy Site Owners Guide that will help you gain more traffic to your shiny new site. The guide presents practical and actionable tips to help maximize the effects of your website.

Domain Names

What domain names can I choose from?

Simply let us know your desired domain name and we will try to acquire it for you. If the domain you want is not available, we'll work with you to find one that works for you. You can choose from .com, .ca, .info or .net domain names. Other domains are available, but will be charged separately.

Who owns my Domain Name?

You will be listed as the registered domain owner and retain all rights to the domain. We will be listed as the technical contact and manage the domain from our account. You can transfer your domain to your account with your registrar at any time should you leave the service.

General Site Information

Will my site be viewable on mobile devices (tablets, smartphones, etc)?

Most of the templates we use are well equipped to be viewed on other devices. Let us know if mobile access is important to your business and we'll ensure we keep your choices focused on mobile friendly templates.

So, you keep mentioning templates. How much can they be customized? 

The templates generally have placeholders for most content and we'll generally replace the default content for you. That being said, we like happy customers and we take pride in what we do, so we try to ensure you're happy and things look nice. If you need some customization that is outside the scope of your site's template, we can provide a quote for you.

Likewise, if you want a custom template or want to use an existing template that costs money, we can arrange for that.

How do I make changes to my website?

That's easy. Simply send us an email with a list of what you need changed. You can even send us an email if you need to talk to someone on the phone to discuss your site and we'll call you back. I'll repeat: An actual human will call you on the phone. Strange, huh?

We expect that at the beginning, you'll have more changes and updates as the site takes shape. Most changes will be handled within one business day. If you need to make a lot of changes, we might suggest the CMS package allowing you to make changes as often as you like (and it's as easy as editing a Word document).

Will my site look just like this one?

Nope, not unless you want it to. This site was built very quickly and will evolve a little more over time. It's not too pretty, but we try and focus on our client's sites, not ours. We hope to display some feature sites of our active clients soon that will show the wide range of work we do.

The Service and Some Details

Yeggers offers website design and hosting on a subscription model. This is a bit different than most website companies. Our hope is that you find our service so good that you stay with us for the long term. This is why we don't charge for initial development costs and we don't have a long term contract.

What this does mean, is that if you stop paying, your website will cease to be available on the internet until your arrears are cleared up. We'll generally give a few days leaway, but after five days in arrears, we suspend the service.

If you decide you no longer want us to display your site, simply let us know and we will end your service on the last day you have paid for with no further obligation. If you want to move your site, we can package things up for you to move to another host for a service fee of $600.00 (minus $100 for each full year of service you have paid for).
